Return of the Winslow

Coming back from the break, the girls shared their vacation stories, filled with family time and relaxation. Bella P. said, “I went home to Vienna, Austria, and spent time with my friends and family. I also relaxed by shopping and walking my dog and I even went to an Austrian Christmas Market.” Lisa also enjoyed her break, as she described her delightful, snow-filled vacation in Alberta, happy to be back, but missing the cuisine of home.

As well as having a restful break, the Grade 11’s and 12’s have been busy studying for midterms at the end of January.

On Saturday, the Winslow girls went bowling as a house activity. The girls enjoyed reconnecting over snacks and bowling, earning many victorious strikes throughout the day. Overall, it was a blast!

This past Sunday, Winslow House, along with the rest of boarding, reunited as a community in our monthly House Games. On the athletic side, the girls competed in teams of two, playing badminton against the other houses. They did extremely well, a special thanks to Jessie Cheng, an experienced badminton player. The two rounds of team challenges were a piece of cake for the girls, as they finished very quickly. Winslow won the majority of the badminton games, now leading with the most house points! As we so often cheer during house games, “Let’s go Winslow, let’s go!”
