A Glamorous Gala

The end of 2018 is coming soon and it is certainly felt all over campus- especially in boarding. You can feel the shift, everyone starts getting antsy for the winter break, wanting to go home to their families for the holidays. With the stress of report cards coming out, everyone had been a little on edge. It was a good thing that December came when it did. December 1st marked the kickoff of our holiday festivities with the Christmas Gala downtown at Crystal Gardens. Everyone looks forward to this event. All of boarding gets decked out in their Christmas best and goes downtown to join the rest of the SMUS community at a wonderful dinner. The Winslow girls certainly dressed to impress (and not one twisted ankle, even from the highest of heels!). This year, the dancing was particularly great and the girls were a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor. By the end of the night everyone was full of Christmas desert and ready for bed.
