October 3rd was our big annual thanksgiving dinner, which was held in the new Sun Centre. All the boarders and house parents gathered together to enjoy a hearty meal made by Sodexo, going through several gratitude activities organized by Symons House. The Winslow girls dressed up in sharp No.1 uniform and had a great time with the rest of the boarding community!
Followed by the Thanksgiving dinner was the October Long Weekend, where a large variety of activities took place for the Winslow girls. The school Seattle trip was thrilling with fun events such as a Beyonce & Jay-Z concert, a visit to the Space Needle, an NHL game, and many more. Some girls went to Vancouver to reunite with family, while some girls stayed in Victoria for the SAT test and even a field hockey tournament! Shoutout to Jessie Cheng who played as goalie! The long weekend was a great time for relaxation and quality time with friends, with the girls ready to get back to school on Tuesday, October 9th.
