Following in the Footsteps of Terry Fox
On Sunday, we had to wake up on an early morning rather unwillingly. It was a little chilly and windy, but at least there was no rain so the Terry Fox run was still on. Everyone had lots of fun, took pictures and ran/walked with friends, even though the weather was not the best for a run. We also got to do this for something meaningful – to donate for cancer research purposes. We also learned a bit more about what Terry Fox did for lots of other cancer patients, and experience one of the many Canadian traditions. Some did not run the whole 5k, but walked for some of the distance instead, but all of us had lots of fun! The most important part of this activity of course is to participate and enjoy.
